FMF User Experience Column

This month's story comes from Eric Jonas, an engineer at MIT. Eric writes:

"I can't believe I've been working with FPGAs (and using as many GPL'd tools as I can find) for four years and not discovered your project. It's amazing, and seems like it'll be far superior to the crappy VHDL models that vendors are providing.

I'm using your DDR2 model right now, and finding all manner of bugs in my memory controller that I didn't find with the single VHDL model I found (from Hynix)...

Thanks again for the help, and for the amazing high-quality models."

Do you have an experience with board or system level verification you would like to share? If so, please send it to the email address at the bottom of this page.

The following is a list of 35 updates to the Free Model Foundry website for the month of January 2007.

Please note we are continuing to add Verilog models to the library.

There are now models and timing files covering over 10,250 part numbers on the FMF website.
